Horton Kirby Papermills

Gtek are currently engaged on the early stages of a building stabilisation programme as part of a major residential and retail development at Horton Kirby Papermills near Dartford in Kent.

Over a 15 week period, our part of the project is intricate restoration of the substructure of a nineteenth century Grade 1 listed building.

Our responsibilities on site include:

• Piling and concrete slab to be replaced inside to underpin the structure
• Renew an existing watercourse culvert below part of the building – involving diverting the culvert and moving wildlife before building a replacement culvert (3m wide x 1.5m high) in the same position under the building.

Riverside South, Canary Wharf

Gtek are proud to have been selected to provide a groundworks package for a major Canary Wharf development, Riverside South. Eventually the site will provide two 48 storey towers for mixed residential, office and retail use. Right on the waterfront, replace 5 original dry docks at the former Heron Quays, Gtek will be providing enabling works for the piling which will create a 2 storey 11m deep parking basement:

• Creating 600m long guidewalls for piling
• Providing capping beam for piling
